2005
Bob Evans, 65, a retired educator for the Burleson
Independent School District, passed away Friday, February
18, 2005, in a Fort Worth hospital.
Bob served as an educator in various communities for 36
years. He was an administrator for the Jefferson County
School District in Colorado for 10 years before moving to
Burleson. He also held offices in the Colorado Language Arts
Society. While in Texas, Bob was a Burleson High School
Student English teacher from 1979 until retirement in 1999.
Bob also was a member of the Sons of the Republic of Texas
and various Mark Twain Societies. He was a student of Mark
Twain and had visited many of the historic sites that were a
part of Mark Twain stories.
He is survived by his loving wife, Vicki, of Burleson; son,
Sam Evans of Godley, Texas; daughter, Lisa Hames, of
Richardson, Texas; and six grandchildren.
Bob had a love for his students and created the excitement
of learning for many of them. He also loved animals. |
